Zareh Sinanyan, the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia, received Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri, the High Commissioner’s office informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Welcoming the ambassador, Sinanyan stressed the importance of developing and expanding the Armenian-Iranian fraternal relations.

Both sides emphasized the important role of the Armenian community of Iran in the implementation of bilateral relations and programs.

It was stressed that joint programs to popularize the history and culture of the two peoples and counteract historical distortion are a necessity.

Also, the parties noted the importance of intensifying cooperation between the Armenian and Iranian diasporas.
