The statement released by the Ministry of Defense (MoD) of Azerbaijan claiming that at around 8:45am Thursday, the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Defense Army units opened fire on the Azerbaijani positions located in the Azerbaijani-occupied territories of the Martuni region of Artsakh, is another disinformation, the Artsakh Defense Army press service informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

In this way, the Azerbaijan MoD is attempting to justify the shooting of its own army units in the direction of Artsakh civilians doing agricultural work, again distorts the reality, and announces once again about disrupting the engineering work allegedly being carried out in the Martuni region.

As previously reported, between 9:15am and 11:14am Thursday, the Azerbaijani side opened fire—from small arms—at civilians doing agricultural work in Machkalashen and Chartar villages of the Martuni region.
