Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) of Armenia, Rustam Badasyan, on Friday received delegation led by Hojatollah Abdolmaleki, Advisor to the President of Iran and Secretary of the Free Zones High Council of Iran, Armenian News-NEWS.am learns from the SRC of Armenia.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of matters aimed at the further development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. In particular, they reflected on the mechanisms aimed at the quick and effective solution of the problems arising between the Meghri-Norduz border checkpoints of the two countries, the possibility of zeroing the duty for trucks entering the country, as well as making the process of online exchange of information more realistic.

Abdolmaleki emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the customs agencies of Armenia and Iran in the context of promoting mutual trade and increasing the amount of goods turnover between the two countries, as well as the development of Armenian-Iranian economic cooperation.

As a result of the discussion, an agreement was reached to consistently continue working meetings in order to record objective results.

At the end of the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual willingness to expand Armenian-Iranian cooperation in the customs sector.
