Javier Milei, the leader of the Libertarian Party which is part of the Freedom is Coming right bloc, has won Sunday’s presidential election in Argentina. According to the preliminary results, he garnered 56 percent of the votes.

Milei has already been congratulated by his opponent, Minister of Economy Sergio Massa, who was the candidate of the governing coalition Union for the Motherland, DW reported.

The president of Brazil, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, wished success to the new government of Argentina on X, former twitter, without mentioning Milei's name.

The President of Chile, Gabriel Boric Font, also congratulated Milei on X.

But the president of Colombia, Gustavo Petro, is disappointed with Milei’s election.

Former US President Donald Trump said on the Truth Social that he is "proud" of Milei.

The new president of Argentina, Javier Milei, is not a supporter of the country's membership in BRICS, wants to dissolve the country’s central bank, and proposes to replace the national currency with the dollar. Also, Milei expressed his desire to break ties with the "communist" governments of Russia, China, and Brazil.
