Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, met with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who is on a visit to Armenia, informs the Office of the Security Council of Armenia.

The interlocutors emphasized with satisfaction the importance of mutual respect between the two friendly countries and the continuation of their high-level political dialogue formed on the millennium-old brotherhood of the two peoples.

Bilateral economic and security relations were discussed at the meeting, within the framework of which both sides stressed the deepening of Armenia-Iran cooperation and the carrying out of effective steps towards the implementation of the respective agreements.

The parties reflected also on the Crossroads of Peace project presented by the Armenian government and underscored the imperative of having long-lasting peace in the region.
