I have no reason to say that Russia will question its alliance agreements with Armenia, but as an ambassador I cannot discuss such developments. Russian ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin said this on the air of Public Television of Armenia, answering the question whether Russia will help Armenia in case of an attack by Azerbaijan.

"We [i.e. Russia] do not see any desire from the Armenian side to work on the Russian negotiation platform. We cannot force. However, we are not leaving this region precisely because it is extremely important for us to have peace and stability here. Why does Russia accuse Armenia, not Azerbaijan, of non-fulfillment of the tripartite agreement?" he said.

Kopyrkin noted that such expressions that only Armenia is to blame for everything, the Russian position was not expressed in this way.

"Positive assessments of Armenia are often heard, which, sadly, are not being covered [by the media]. Also, the essence of all that is not covered—that we are doing everything to establish real peace in this region, towards which they continue to work," said the Russian ambassador to Armenia.
