The Iranian authorities have executed the death sentence against four of the ten members of the sabotage team linked to Israel, ISNA news agency reports, citing the statement by the court of the West Azerbaijan province of Iran.

"Four members of a sabotage group linked to the Zionist regime [i.e. Israel], who tried to undermine the country's security with their actions under the leadership of the Israeli Mossad intelligence service officers, were hanged this morning," the aforesaid court stated Friday.

On October 24, the chief judge of Iran's West Azerbaijan province, Nasser Atabati, announced that the officers of the Iranian intelligence service had arrested a group comprising ten people. According to Tehran, their main task was to identify the employees of Iran's special services and armed forces who work in connection with Israel. It is said that this group had direct contact with the Mossad officers through a video link.
