Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin says that he has not encountered anti-Russian sentiments in the Armenian scene. Kopyrkin stated about this in an interview given to the Public Television of Armenia.

The Russian diplomat noted that he has been living in Armenia with his family for 5.5 years now, and they have formed very warm and kind relations with many Armenians.

"I never thought, I don't think, and I will never think that the Armenian people have anti-Russian sentiments. I see completely different realities in contact at the everyday level. No one has accused Armenians of anti-Russian sentiments. I understand what kind of campaign has been launched and what forces are behind that campaign that are trying to ‘blacken’ Russia and use the problems that exist in the country to create suspicion among Armenians about Russia and its real objectives. But I have never heard that at some responsible level in Russia they would say that the Armenia’s society is anti-Russian," said the Russian ambassador.
