Many of us saw the prime minister's visit to France, we were happy, but we do not see any real cooperation or guarantee agreement between Armenia and the EU in the security sector. Armenian turkologist Andranik Ispiryan stated this in an interview with Armenian News-NEWS.am.

"In fact, the EU just brings Turkey to the forefront. This is a new reality in the region, developments have completely changed. All this should be seen in the following context: The EU against Russia increases Turkey's influence; that is, it gives Turkey a ‘green light’ to have influence on Armenia and Azerbaijan. And how should Turkey do this when there is no negotiation, no relationship, no influence? At the moment, the West does not want any military intervention by Turkey or Azerbaijan. They just want Turkey to increase its influence [in the region] as much as possible to keep the Russians out," said the turkologist.
