There are isolated settlements in Alaverdi region due to floods. Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Armenia, Kamo Tsutsulyan, told reporters about this on Monday.

"Measures are being taken in connection with them. Rescue Service vehicles will transport everything, from food to medicine, to the mentioned settlements," Tsutsulyan added.

He said that a cable car route has been established in connection with Sanahin village.

"So that if necessary, the population will be evacuated. We are taking measures to eliminate the isolation in the direction of the noted settlement," said the deputy minister of internal affairs.

Debed River overflowed Sunday due to the heavy rains that fell the night before in Lori and Tavush Provinces. As a result, several roads and bridges collapsed, some bridges, houses, and cars were under water, many people were trapped, and the death toll in these floods is currently four.

A decrease in the water level has been observed this morning, reported the Ministry of Environment.
