YEREVAN. – Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan received Bruno Lasserre, President of the Authority of Competition of France, and noted that France’s track-record in economic competition is extremely useful for Armenia. 

“In the recent years we have substantially strengthened the [Armenian State] Commission for [the Protection of] Economic Competition [ASCPEC], [and] adopted laws whereby we have extended this agency’s authorizations. In this sense, your experience and knowledge are very useful for us,” the PM said.   

In his turn, the President of the Authority of Competition of France expressed a readiness to assist their partners in the reforms toward improving the economic competition legislation, to assists ASCPEC’s institutional capacity, and in enhancing the economic competition policy, the Government Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.   

Tigran Sargsyan expressed a conviction that the memorandum of understanding, which the competition agencies of both countries signed, will be useful for ASCPEC’s activities.   

The Interlocutors also discussed the stimulation of the economic competition policy.
