YEREVAN. – If the electoral processes unroll consistent with the letter and content of the Electoral Code during the Armenian National Assembly elections on May 6 and during its preceding period, the opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (ANC) will have an absolute majority in the parliament, ANC Legal Committee Coordinator Gagik Jhangiryan said during a press conference on Friday. “[But] I cannot make any evaluations,” he added. 

And with respect to not being nominated with the majority election system, Jhangiryan stated he had never said he would be nominated with the majority system.

“I said I will definitely inform if there is such decision. I am not nominated, but my brother is nominated,” Gagik Jhangiryan replied.
