YEREVAN. – In connection with 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Armenia and France, Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian on Friday visited the French Embassy in Armenia, where Nalbandian and French Ambassador Henri Reynaud got together with the francophone students of Armenia’s universities, MFA informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

Congratulating those present, in connection with the anniversary, Edward Nalbandian specifically said: “The Armenian-French relations are anchored in the friendly traditions of the Armenian and French people. And due to the joint efforts in the past twenty years, we were able to impart new dynamics to the interrelations. [And] The high level of the twenty-year relations was symbolized by the presidents Sargsyan’s and Sarkozy’s mutual visits in the year past.”

In his turn, Ambassador Reynaud stressed that the warm Armenian-French relations are just as emotional as they are rational. And Armenia is one of those sole countries which have a special and a unique place within the French society.    

During the meeting, FM Edward Nalbandian and Ambassador Henri Reynaud also responded to the students’ numerous questions concerning Armenian-French relations.
