YEREVAN. – The initiating group for dismantling the unauthorized constructions at Armenian capital Yerevan’s Mashtots Park released a statement, and informed that they intend on disassembling, on Saturday at 1 pm, the illegal kiosks being built at the Park.     

“We remind that Yerevan is a community. The unauthorized construction in the community-property land is the property of either the state or the community. The land’s proprietor has the right to dismantle the unauthorized structure in his land. Hence, we are convinced that the need for Yerevan residents’ actions toward protecting the community property still stands. 

At the same time we expect the Police to also present more thorough arguments to stop the civil rights acts of self-defense on March 31 [Saturday],” the statement reads in particular.
