YEREVAN. – Jane’s Intelligence defense and security analytical center analyst Lilit Gevorgyan spoke to 168 Zham daily, and she reflected on Russia’s recent disclosure of the list of weapons it has supplied to the Republic of Armenia (RA), the daily reported.

“In Lilit Gevorgyan’s observation, the publicizing of the list was an unusual, even a surprising step, since Russia rarely shows such transparency when supplying weapons to other countries.

“According to the latter’s observations, since a long time ago the Armenian side already has adopted the position of justifying the Russian arms sales.

‘“Official Yerevan will prefer that the list-related episode is quickly forgotten,’ Gevorgyan said.

“According to the Britain-based analyst, the publicizing of the weapons’ list was a blow to Armenia, since it disregards the RA’s security interests and ‘tips’ Azerbaijan as to what types of weapons it can acquire from Russia,” 168 Zham wrote.
