YEREVAN. – Past daily of Armenia writes: If the topic of the [snap parliamentary] elections is really serious, then, according to logic and legislation, the parliament of the seventh convocation of the NA [National Assembly] should be dissolved; according to the previously announced, it shall be by mid-May.

According to Past newspaper’s information, the authorities, being concerned about the future fate of a number of drafts sent by the government to the NA but have not yet entered the plenary sessions of the parliament, intend to ratify them by all means.

According to the information we have, in fact, in addition to the regular four-day [session], the government and the parliamentary majority [My Step faction] plan to convene several special [sessions] within a month, the agendas of which will be quite full. We are talking about the drafts that the authorities need to "pass."

Let us add that the tradition of holding NA sessions without the parliamentary opposition has become fashionable in recent times. So, even without the opposition, the My Step [faction members] will not leave the wishes of the executive in the air.

By the way, it is not ruled out that a number of controversial drafts also will be passed "in a hurry."
