Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes: According to the information of Zhoghovurd daily, 157 million 816 thousand drams [(approx. US$400,787)] will be allocated to the Ministry of Emergency Situations from the RA government's reserve fund.

We were informed that this money will be provided for the purpose of providing food and bedding to the victims of the earthquake in Turkey and Syria.

Let us note: the devastating earthquake that took place on February 6 took the lives of more than 41,000 people in Turkey, more than 5,000—in Syria.

After the devastating earthquakes, Armenia sent humanitarian aid to Turkey twice. It was possible to carry it out through the Margara bridge [on the Armenia-Turkey border], which has been closed since 1993.
