YEREVAN. – Armenian capital city Yerevan’s former Mayor and newly-appointed Transport and Communication Minister Gagik Beglaryan reflected on world renowned opera singer Placido Domingo’s Yerevan concert and his dismissal from the mayoral office after the incident that occurred in connection with this concert. 

A news reporter asked the Minister whether he would attend Domingo’s concert considering that the latter had a crucial impact on him, and Beglaryan responded:

“With great delight! But I was not at Domingo’s concert.”     

And to the journalist’s remark that Placido Domingo left a serious mark in Beglaryan’s life, the former Mayor said:

“We still don’t know whether [he left] a good or a bad mark. Forget everything! [Now there is a] New work, new domain… I have always been satisfied with my destiny because, for the most part, I am the one who crafted my destiny.”
