Azerbaijan refused to issue entry visa to PACE Vice President Rene Rouquet, APA agency reported quoting PACE head Anne Brasseur.

Rene Rouquet was holding talks with Azerbaijan's permanent representation at the Council of Europe to get visa in order to participate in the bureau and standing committee meeting in Baku.

“Unfortunately, the answer was negative,”  she said, adding that the issue was discussed with the head of Azerbaijani delegation to PACE Samed Saidov.

Earlier Rouquet along with several colleagues visited Karabakh “without permission of Azerbaijan” and held meetings with NKR authorities. He was blacklisted by Azerbaijani authorities and banned from entering the country.
