Romanian President Traian Basesku barely won reelections, however the leftist opposition asserts that he trafficked with votes. The Social Democrats said left-leaning former Foreign Minister Mircea Geoana actually won Sunday’s elections, Philadelphia Inquirer informs.

The electoral committee informs that based on 99.95% of vote count, Basescu outvoted with 50.33%, while Geoana polled 49.66%.

According to opposition, the voting was faked and Romanians voted for Mircea Geoana, whereas Basescu’s government seeks to make him a winner through fraud.

Meanwhile, despite the number of violations, OSCE observers esteemed overall organization of elections as positive.
