December 10, 2009 RA President Serzh Sargsyan had private talk with his Latvian counterpart Valdis Zatlers.

Welcoming Latvian President’s visit to Armenia, Sargsyan stated that the intensification of political dialogue proves the promotion of bilateral relations, RA MFA Press Service informed NEWS.am.

Valdis Zatlers expressed confidence that negotiations with Armenian side will be fruitful. The top level meeting was followed by an enlarged format talks.

The parties made a point of implementing promotion policy amid the business circles for cooperation in economic field. The countries possess necessary commodities and services that are in high demand in both markets.

The presidents also touched upon the collaboration prospects within Eastern Partnership project and signified relaxation of visa regime. Latvian President invited Serzh Sargsyan on a return visit.

Thereafter, Serzh Sargsyan and Valdis Zatlers signed four intergovernmental agreements.
