Public opinion poll conducted by Turkish Haberturk website uncovered striking results.
Asked “If the elections are held today, which party would you vote for”, 39% of respondents named Justice and Development Party (AKP), 22% — Republican People’s Party (RPP), 16.7% — Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), 5.5% — Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) and 8.8% — other parties.

Ratings of the parties did not undergo dramatic changes within last months unlike their leaders. 54% of people approved Erdogan’s job this August and 38.9% — this November. At that, 25.5% of the pollees were in favour of RPP leader Deniz Baykal’s work this August and 14.8% — in November, 2009.

In addition, 29.7% in August and 14% in November, 2009 approved MHP leader Devlet Bahceli’s activities.
