The midfielder of FC Metallurg (Donetsk) Henrikh Mkhitaryan is named the best 2009 football player in Armenia. It was announced at the awarding ceremony, summarizing 2009 season results at the headquarters of Football Federation of Armenia. Mkhitaryan was an overwhelming favorite with 355 points. The FC Mika defender Hrayr Mkoyan ranked the second with 138 points and Sargis Hovsepyan the third — 180.
