YEREVAN. – The Armenian Ministry of Healthcare informs that reports spread via Internet regarding the preventive vaccinations carried out in the Armenia’s Lusakert village of Kotayk Region, are untrue.

The Healthcare Ministry states no vaccinations against flu as well as the bird flu are being carried out in Armenia’s Kotayk Region. It is based on the fact that epidemic situation regarding these diseases is calm and there is no need in vaccinations.

Talking to Armenian News-NEWS.am on Monday expert from the Armenian Health Ministry Liana Torosyan dismissed the bird flu rumors spread via social networks.

The expert also rejected the rumors that the population above 26 in Armenia’s Lusakert village is being vaccinated.
