EU’s aim is to completely cancel visa regime with Russia. Spanish Foreign Minister Miguel Moratinos (Spain holds presidency in EU starting Jan. 1) said after the Jan. 12 talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

The Spanish FM said they wish to proceed with the process and in the course of Spain’s presidency at least create a map with future prospects of visa restrictions’ abolishment.

According to Moratinos, regular Russia-EU summit will be held on May 30, 2010 in Moscow.
