Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili stated that anon his country will succeed in neither joining NATO, nor return Abkhazia and South Ossetia. In his interview to The Wall Street Journal Saakashvili said that Georgia’s hopes joining NATO are “almost dead”. Besides, Georgian leader declared that three main objectives for the country are joining NATO and EU, as well as return of control over Abkhazia and South Ossetia can be hardly achieved in the near future. According to The Wall Street Journal, these statements will be voiced in the Georgian President speech on July 20, 2009.

In addition, Saakashvili intends to publish a number of internal political initiatives, directed toward the betterment of situation in the country, the journal informs.
