YEREVAN.- Armenia’s Agriculture Ministry reported two fatal anthrax cases in animals in Gegharkunik and Kotayk Regions.

The first case was recorded in Hrazdan, another in Gegharkunik Region, state service on food safety told Armenian News-NEWS.am. The Ministry is taking measures to prevent spreading of the disease, animals are being vaccinated.

Spokesperson for the Health Ministry Anahit Aytyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am that three out of five patients undergoing treatment in Martuni hospital have been diagnosed with anthrax.
