“At the moment it is hard to say what propound Armenia will make in two weeks after Russian MG Co-Chair Yuri Merzlyakov’s statement,” RA Liberal party leader Hovhannes Hovhannisyan told NEWS.am commenting on yesterday’s statement by OSCE MG Co-Chairs, that Yerevan and Baku should submit their proposals on not agreed points of Madrid document within next two weeks.

According to him, the terms given for Karabakh conflict settlement and meetings of conflicting parties with RF President are formal and clearly neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan will change their stance or talks objectives within two weeks. “Russian side strives to resolve the conflict as soon as possible, otherwise the image of Russia on the whole and RF President in particular in the eyes of international community will drop,” Liberal party leader underlined. He considers reaching the concrete outcomes impossible. It was declared that the sides agreed upon preamble to document on Karabakh peace process not to admit unfruitfulness of trilateral meeting. “It is ridiculous when two Presidents agree on preamble to the document after 2-hour talks,” Hovhannisyan concluded.
