In case Baku breaks out war against Armenia or Nagorno-Karabakh, it jeopardizes its sovereignty, the head of Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs and ARFD member Hrayr Karapetyan said at the Jan. 26 press conference in Yerevan.

According to him, presently Azerbaijan can lose much more — its sovereignty, whereas back in 1990s hostility it lost 7 regions. Today Armenian army increased its power and can strike more violent blow.

Karapetyan admits that presently Azerbaijan holds large funds and human resources, however considers that “we have will and consciousness that we will defend our motherland.”
