January 28, RA Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian will participate in the international conference on Afghanistan in London.

The foreign offices of 61 countries and seven international organizations will participate in the conference, including U.S., EU states, Russia, Turkey and Azerbaijan.

The conference agenda includes the issues on delegation of responsibility to Afghan authorities to provide security in the country’s territory, solution of topical problems of national development, in the context of preparation for phasedown of foreign military presence in Afghanistan.

Nalbandian has no plans to meet with his Azerbaijani and Turkish counterparts, as well as U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, RA Foreign Ministry press secretary Tigran Balayan informed NEWS.am.

The day before, in his interview with NTV, Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu informed about his intention to discuss recent developments in Karbakh peace process and Armenia-Turkey reconciliation with his Azerbaijani counterpart.

Davutoglu also underlined that he plans to meet with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to discuss the mentioned issues.
