European Parliament rapporteur for Turkey Ria Oomen-Ruijten introduced the report on Turkey to the EP Committee on Foreign Affairs which was approved, Turkish Firatnews website infomrs.

The report criticizes dissolution of the only pro-Kurdish Democratic Society Party (DTP) and demands that Turkish authorities make concrete reforms.

The document indicates that Armenia-Turkey Protocols signed in Zurich should be ratified early by Turkey.

As to Ergenekon case, Oomen-Ruijten called on Turkish government to tackle the issue based on principles of democracy and human rights.

The document also underlines that Turkey should immediately withdraw its troops from Cyprus, solve the problems of its citizens and open Turkish part of the island for Greeks.
