Iran is ready to cooperate with Armenia and Azerbaijan on Karabakh conflict settlement, Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said in the course of his visit to Yerevan. According to him, Armenia and Azerbaijan are friendly countries to Iran. “We want to see stability and peace in the region. We all remember the 2008 events in Georgia. This should not repeat, as the mentioned events impacted regional security, energy and transport,” Iranian FM stated.

He also said that Iran stands for peaceful and diplomatic solution to Karabakh conflict. “The issues on Karabakh peace process are part of our discussions with Armenian authorities. Iran is ready to assist both Armenia and Azerbaijan in every possible way,” Mottaki concluded.
