During his visit to Brussels, Kanat Saudabaev, Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan and OSCE Chairman-in-Office, discussed frozen conflicts, including the Caucasian ones, with President of the European Parliament Jerzy Buzek.
In this context, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office announced his intention to visit Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan this February, KazInform reports.
Jerzy Buzek pointed out that Kazakhstan’s chairmanship of OSCE is of high importance, as many acute problems, including protracted conflicts, have to be dealt with.
The President of the European Parliament reaffirmed the EU’s full support for peaceful settlement of conflicts and the European Parliament’s readiness to take a most active position on this matter.
