February 3, Iran presented three new satellites — Tolou, Mesbah 2 and Navid and a country’s first domestic satellite carrier engine — Simorgh. Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and military authorities attended inauguration ceremony.

Tolou, Mesbah 2 and Navid are telecommunication satellites and were designed and produced domestically, Iranian Press TV reports.

First Iranian satellite named Omid was placed into orbit on February 3, 2009.
