February 4, 2010 a major car accident killed 6 people and wounded 15 others in Dagestan. The passenger bus Neoplan collided with Kamaz truck on Makhachkala-Astrakhan highway, 5 km from the village Kochubey.

Three people, including both drivers died at the spot, three others died in hospital, Interfax reports referring to Russian Emergency Situations Ministry. Accordong to State Inspection for Road Traffic Safety of Dagestan, the bus crossed into the oncoming line and clashed with the truck.

Operational-investigative group is working in the emergency site. Accident causes are clarified, Vesti informs.
