Prince Charles hosted RA President Serzh Sargsyan at Windsor Castle. The Armenian President participated in a reception inaugurating the “My love, Yerevan” project initiated by the former Armenian Premier and businessman Armen Sargsyan. The reception was followed by a charity concert with the participation of the world-famous conductor Valeri Gergiyev and the mezzo-soprano Dariza Nazarbayeva. The “My love, Yerevan” projects provides for the renovation of four buildings in the center of Yerevan, which, under the sponsorship of the Holy See of Echmiadzin, will serve socially vulnerable families and talented children. Attending the reception hosted by Prince Charles were also members of various national communities, including representatives of the Armenian community.

The Armenian President also held a meeting with Armenian businessmen and well-known public figures that arrived in London on the occasion of his visit. President Serzh Sargsyan expressed his appreciation of their work aimed to further the economic progress in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, consolidate ties with Armenia and preserve the national identity in the Armenian communities. “I am sure that, by combined efforts, we will be able to resolve the present problems and move forward in achieving our national aspirations. I am sure that some day the national flag of Armenia will each Armenia feel pride just as the symbol of Mount Ararat does,” Sargsyan said.
