Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s statement on country’s possibilities to enrich uranium is based on politics, not physics, the White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs said at the briefing.
According to him, Iran’s nuclear program experienced a number of problems throughout the year.
“We do not believe they have the capability to enrich to the degree to which they now say they are enriching,” the Voice of America quotes Gibbs.
The White House Spokesman also underlined that Iran’s recent actions united international community as no other event.
Yesterday, speaking at the meeting on the occasion of 31st anniversary of Islamic revolution President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said that the country had already produced its first stock of 20 % enriched uranium.
