February 12, Turkish President Abdullah Gul arrived in Bangladesh after completing talks in India.
Abdullah Gul was met by his Bangladeshi counterpart Zillur Rahman at the airport. However, Turkish journalists were surprised at seeing a huge portrait of Abdullah Gul that bore little resemblance to the President.
According to the worldbulletin website, Gul intends to meet with Bangladeshi Foreign Minister Dipu Moni and Finance Minister Abu Maal Abdul Muhith.
