Mobile World Congress 2010 to be held on February 15-18 opened in Barcelona, Spain.

According to theinquirer.net website, over 1,300 mobile companies and around 50.000 people from 180 countries will participate in the event to show their latest wares and discuss various challenges facing the industry.

The major operators are expected to invest about $72 billion in mobile broadband technologies over the course of the year.

ArmenTel CJSC (Beeline) press service told NEWS.am-Innovation that participation in Barcelona congress is still being discussed. Meanwhile, VivaCell-MTS representative is already in Spain. Orange Armenian company representatives informed NEWS.am-Innovation correspondent they would not attend the congress.
