Israeli preventive attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities will have disastrous consequences for the whole Middle East, Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated in the interview with Spanish El Pais newspaper.

He expressed confidence that issue of Iran’s nuke program should be resolved through nuclear diplomacy only. According to Erdogan, Turkey and other countries are unalterably opposed to the production of nuclear weapon by Iran, meanwhile fully supporting the country’s right to peaceful atomic energy.

Turkish PM emphasized that he believes the Iranian leaders’ statements on peaceful nature of nuclear program.

Presently, Turkish Premier is on a visit to Spain. Erdogan held meetings with his Spanish counterpart José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero and King Juan Carlos I of Spain.
