ARF Dashnaktsutyun party is displeased with events organized by government commission devoted to 130th anniversary of Armenian interior minister of the First Republic Aram Manukyan.

ARFD member Lilit Galstyan addressed a Parliament sitting saying the events held on Feb. 19 in Opera House were poor and provincial. "No national ensemble participated in it. Besides, in response to my outrage one of participants replied: “We did as much as were paid,” Galstyan declared. "Perhaps, one of the First Republic founders, a national hero Aram Manukyan is not a “Hero of our time, but others are, as in the same building a high level selective round of Eurovision song contest was held. This is why we should not be surprised seeing Armenia in moral decadence and our kids willing to be guardsmen, while those wishing better life simply migrate from the country. Until the history gives us lessons, our inner defeat is inevitable,” the politician concluded.
