Representatives of International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Armenia met with Azerbaijani captives Rafig Gasanov and Anar Hanbaba oglu Gajiev.

ICRC officers held monitoring of imprisonment conditions and talked to the captives tête-à-tête. Gasanov gave them a letter for his family. The latters being in Bard, Azerbaijan, met with Gasanov’s family and handed the letter to Rafig’s parents. “Son says he is OK. He sends his greetings to the relatives, and villagers,” said Rahman Gasanov, as he was reading. Rahman replied to son’s letter and said they all are looking forward to his return.

Rafig Gasanov (born 1989) went over to the Armenian side on October 8, 2008.
