U.S. recognized genocides of Holocaust and Darfur, now it is time to recognize Armenian Genocide as well, Congressman Donald Payne stated in the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee on March 4.

In his turn, Congressman Royce (R-CA) noted that California already recognized the fact of Armenian Genocide. He also called on the Committee members to vote for 252 Resolution.

Congressman Michael McMahon opposed the resolution saying that its adoption might hamper Armenia-Turkey reconciliation process.
