According to research results run in 2008 in three Transcaucasian countires, Azerbaijan is recorded the most corrupted country in the Caucasus region.

7% of respondents in Armenia, answering the question “Did you bribe for last 12 months?” said ‘yes’, 91%-no and 1% abstained from the answer.

While in Azerbaijan 28% of respondents said they gave a bribe, 61% gave negative response and 7% — refrained.

In Georgia 7% of questioned bribed somebody, while 92%-not.

The public opinion poll was conducted in October-November 2008 involving 2082 Armenian, 2014 Azerbaijani and 1837 Georgian respondents.
