March 20, as many as 12.000 stewards of British Airways went on strike. Thousands flights are cancelled, hence within next few days each third passenger will not travel anywhere.
Conflict between the trade union and airline management lasts for already 6 months. British Airways employees are against the lay-offs and wage freeze. Few days before the strike British Premier Gordon Brown urged both sides to reconcile.
According to VESTI, the strike will cost the company £25 million.
