A military parade devoted to 15th anniversary of Military Academy after Vazgen Sargsyan of the RA Defense Ministry, commenced today on Republic Square, Yerevan.

Students and graduates of Armenian military institutions participated. State administration, military elite, All-Armenian Catholicos Karekin II, and high-ranking guests attended the event. President Serzh Sargsyan handed certificates to the graduates and congratulated them on graduation, NEWS.am reports.

Previous anniversary parade of this Military Academy was held in 2004, being established in 1994. There were no military institutions in the country under Soviet regime.
