British Airways employees went on the second strike within last two weeks. This one will be on till March 29, BBC reports. By now, London Heathrow airport cancelled 29 fights.

According to company’s estimates the strike will affect as many as 17.000 passengers.

Nonetheless, British Airways is hopeful to carry out 70% of long haul and 55% of national and European flights. At that company’s flights from London Gatwick and City airports will not be affected by the strike, company's office says.

Of 240.000 passengers planning to travel in the course of the strike, 180.000 will fly by BA aircrafts and liners leased from other carriers. Another 43.000 people will take competitors’ flights.

The previous 3-day strike ended March 22 costing the company £25 million.
