YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on Friday participated in the private and extended meetings of the Summit of the CIS Heads of States held in Minsk.

The CIS leaders discussed 14 issues related to prospects of development trade contacts, law enforcement cooperation, further development of cultural and humanitarian ties.   

The presidents agreed a program on cooperation in fight against extremism for 2014-2016, as well as the 2014-2018 program on combating illegal drug trafficking.

The participants approved the 2014-2018 inter-state program on taking joint measures aimed at crime prevention.  

The leaders touched upon issues related to celebrations of the 70th anniversary of the Victory Day.

Ukraine will assume presidency of the CIS during the next meeting in Kiev.
