Commenting on the Foreign Minister’s press conference, the daily reads: “Obviously, speaking of ‘global normalization in the region’ he meant relations with Armenia. He does not speak of the ways of reaching this normalization. But it is evident that due to ‘rapprochement’ with Armenia Turkey met its objectives on political activation in the Caucasus, to be enrolled in UN Security Council as non-permanent member, and keep Barack Obama back saying the word ‘genocide’. Moreover by readiness to convergence with Armenia, Turkey meanwhile bended to U.S. and EU demands for ‘full-fledged relations’ settlement with Armenia’ and got rid of probable pressure. Doing so Turkey created preconditions for Armenia to bear responsibility, if so-called rapprochement comes to initial point.”
