According to certain sources in H1 2009 10mln 590 thousand tourists visited Turkey. Compared to H12008, the number of tourists to Turkey from Middle East, North Africa and European countries has increased. The tourists from Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, Jordan, Sudan making 20-50%, Turkish “AA” news agency informs.
In H1 2009 the number of Israeli and Armenian tourists to Turkey reduced for 60% and 13% accordingly, compared to H1 2008.
